Birmingham Jewellers successful in John Lewis preview evening

The NAJ is supporting six jewellers from the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter in supplying the new John Lewis store to open on 24th September. A dedicated themed area within the store has been created to feature the unique, historic local area. The featured designers will rotate on a six month basis, allowing the breadth of talent in the quarter to be showcased and customers to acquire individual pieces of jewellery.

Lisa Williams, Head of branch at John Lewis Birmingham said she was keen to ensure the new store reflected the significance of the Jewellery Quarter. ‘Supporting the local community is extremely important to us and we hope that our partnership with the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter is the start of a long and fruitful relationship with a variety of businesses in and around the city.’

John Lewis opens it door with Jewellery Quarter designer cabinets on show.  " The National Association of Jewellers is pleased to be involved with this initiative as John Lewis launches an amazing new store and picks up on the fantastically talented local designer makers based here in the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. This was an opportunity for us to support a local JQ project, an outstanding British retailer, designer members and champion UK design" commented Lindsey Straughton NAJ Marketing Manager "I wish it every success"

Collette was joined by James Newman, Kate Smith, Becca Williams, Rhiannon Lewis and Fei Liu at the preview evening on 22nd September, when their unique jewellery was extremely well received.

We wish them every success when the store opens to the public.
