Position: Chief Executive

Basis: Full Time

Salary: Dependant on Experience

Location: Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

 

Established in 1918 The British Travelgoods & Accessories association (BTAA) is the only  tradebody  in the UK which caters for the needs of manufacturers, suppliers, designers & retailers of travel goods, handbags, leather goods & fashion accessories. The BTAA works tirelessly on behalf of its members to save them money on business services, help them grow their businesses by providing industry support & enhance their credibility in the marketplace.

We are currently seeking an innovative Chief Executive with strong communication and collaboration skills to drive our association forward.

Reporting to the National Committee for the overall performance of the Association you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Preparing forecasts and managing the association accounts.
  • Developing and implementing a sales strategy to increase membership, by creating campaigns to generate interest with prospective members.
  • Managing the day to day needs of members while ensuring continuous improvement in the services and benefits offered to them. 
  • Updating the Associations website ensuring all content is relevant and up to date.

We believe the Chief Executive sets the pace, culture and energy for the Association, inspiring members, partners and building strong relationships with key sponsors, Trade Organisations and Government.

Building on existing and creating new links with overseas trade organisations, you will be required to attend Trade Fairs in the UK and overseas, representing the BTAA on its stand.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious professional with the right experience.
